- Day 01 Kathmandu - Nyalam. 158Km Hotel in Nyalam
Today, You will cross the border at Dzangmu at the elevation of 2200Mt above sea level and then drive to Nyalam.The distance between Dzangmu and Nyalam is 30Km only but it will take 1 and half hrs to get there since the road is very adventurous in the gorge. On the way from Dzangmu to Nyalam, You will view a great gorge with beautiful green forest composed of different kinds of trees. During the monsoon, you can also view lovely water fall from different side of gorge.Nyalam is a small town with some government buildings and Tibetan district buildings. Guest house
- Day 02 Rest in Nyalam for acclimatization. Hotel in Nyalam
The reason we have chosen one rest day here in Nyalam is in order to successfully complete your trip from Kailash without feeling sick as you have acclimatized your body to the high altitude one day at Nyalam without any difficulty so during that day, you need to walk around the town up and down and drink more water for the preparation of the up. coming days journey. - Day 3 Nyalam-Pekutso,4590mts, 170Km Camp
Today you will drive around 5 hrs on a little bumpy road but the scenery is one of the most spectacular one during your journey to Kailash that you can see great Himalayan ranges and one of the most world popular snow mountain called Shisha Pangma (8000Mt) from the top of a pass called Thongla( 5120Mt). Besides a fantastic view of lake Pekutso will be appeared. We will camp near by the lake. Guest house
- Day 4 Pekutso - Saga (4640m/110Km ) camp
We will ride through some small mountain passes with many zigzag road and finally cross the Yarlung Tsangpo river and then get to Saga. Saga is a small town with some government buildings and district Tibetan buildings.Camp
- Day 5 Drive Saga-Raga-Tagyeltso (4590m/200km) Camp on BLD
Heading west into the vast grassland and nomad camps on the Kailash southern route until you reach Raga. Heading north into the Jangthang Plateau from Raga on a long Kailash northern route adventure tour is started and some parts of the road is paved and some are not. Down the slope to the right of the road at this point, there is a large geothermal area , known as Tagyel Chutsen or Tagyel hot spring. If the water table is high enough geysers spout for the every few minutes or so. One shoots steaming water over 15 m high. At one time it is said that there were over 100 geysers here, and there is a small renovated bath house. The road skirts a small lake and then passes along the full length of Lake Takyel-tso (4590m), which is teeming with fish.
- Day 6 Drive Tagyel Tso-Methok-Kyangrang-Longkar-Taro Tso,4442mts,298Km Camp on BLD
After breakfast from the campsite at Tagyeltso, we will drive on the main northern route to Shiquanhe through two mountain passes, one is called Sangmola,5227mts and another one is 4747mts. As soon as we descend to the plateau from the pass, we will view another lake called Gartso and reach Methok after 100Km drive from Tagyeltso. Methok is the junction to go to Kyangrang or continuously to Shiquanhe. We will turn left from Methok leaving the main road behind and drive to Kyangrang. After passing Kyangrang village, we will have another view of the lake called Kyangrang lake. The lake has two arms and we will drive along the both arms of the lake. The next after the lake are some villages who are all nomads and then reach the junction to Drongba county on the left and straight ahead to Longkar village. We will finally reach Tarotso. Tarotso is one of the biggest lakes with some beautiful islands as well. We will camp at the shore of the lake.
- Day 7 Drive Taro Tso-Drangyer Tsaka-Ngangla Ringtso,4700mts,129Km Camp on BLD
After breakfast from the campsite at Tarotso, After driving an hour, we will reach Drangyer Tsaka. Drangyer Tsaka is one of the biggest natural salt sources in the western Tibet and it is very important and useful to the Nomads who live there. We will continuously drive on the high Tibetan plateau and cross a pass, 4900mts. As soon as we drive down from the pass, we will be appeared Ngangla Ringtso which is located on the right side of the road after 3Km distance. It is another beautiful camp site at the lake shore.
- Day 8 Ngangla Ringtso-Rinchen Shabtso-Ringdor-Yakra town,4621mts-Rgotso, 4844mts,181Km Camp on BLD
After the breakfast from the campsite at Ngangla Ringtso, We will drive along another lake called Rinchen Shabtso and some of the small lakes on the way. Passing by Ringdor and Yakra villages, driving through the wilderness of the high plateau on which the nomads are grazing their livestock including Yaks, we will reach Rgotso. Rgotso is the place where it has the most wild lives such as a flock of wild yaks known as Drong in Tibetan, foxes, wolves, blue sheep, mountain goats, wild donkeys known as Kyang etc so it is worthwhile to camp a night there and enjoy the beauty of wild lives.
- Day 9 Rgotso-Chaktsalkang, 96Km-Mansarovar east (4590m/20km) Camp
After the breakfast, we will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake Ringtso and many different kinds of wild lives, we will start our journey to Chaktsalkang through a pass,4986mts. Chaktsalkang is the place where you can see Mansarovar lake and Mt Kailash for the first time and for the religious people, it is also the holy place where they first do prostration to the Lake and Kailash.
- Day 10 Mansarovar east-Chiu Gompa, 4590Mts/50Km. Camp
Enjoying the most beautiful motorbike ride along the Lake Mansaorvar with a fantastic view of Mount Gurlamandata and Mt Kailash.
- Day 11 Dahrchen trek to Dhiraphuk (5210Mts/18Km) Camp
Today is the first day of your KailashKora which is totally around 53Km . You start your Kora from Darchen and after like 2 hrs walk, you will face DarpoChe where there is a huge prayer flag pole which is annually replaced by the pilgrimages on 15 th of forth Lunar month, known as Saga Dawa festival, As well as Trulku monastery on your leftside up on the hill side. You can also see ibex and blue sheep running in the rocky hillside while you are walking and then you will reach DhiraPhuk which was a monastery before but nowadays you can only see the ruins of the monastery as the monastery was destroyed in the cultural revolution.Camp
- Day 12 Trek to Zutrulphuk(4810m) via crossing Drolma la pass(5636m/15KM) Camp
Today is the second of your KailashKora which is indeed the hardest day of your three days trek. You will have to climb up to the top of Drolma La pass which is more than 5000Mt. There will be three sloppy hike to get to the top of Drolma La pass from DhiraPhuk and then pretty steep down hill with rocky path all the way to the valley. On the right side of the down hill path, there is a small lake called Thuje Lake, meaning compassionate lake.ZutrulPhuk was the cave where Mila Repa and NagroBonchung debated for their religion sects and nowadays, it is a small monastery. - Day 13 Trek to Dharchen and then drive to Mansarovar (Chiu) (4590Mts/50Km) Tented Camp BLD
Today is the easiest and last day of your Kailashkora as you will trek down in the valley with beautiful distant scenery of Rakshas Tal lake .From here you will depart your Yak men and kind Yak and shift to jeeps. You will meet your drivers and continue your tour to Lake Mansarovar. Rest and free afternoon around the lake.
- Day 14 Mansarovar-Mayumla pass-Baryang (4750m/200km)
Drive through the main Kailash southern route and cross Mayumla pass which is the highest mountain pass during your Kailash journey. If you are lucky, you will also several different kinds of wild animals such as wild donkeys, wolves, foxes, ibex etc, enjoying their lives in the western Tibetan high plateau.
- Day 15 Baryang-Drongpa-Saga (4640m/235km)
We will be driving through the kailash southern route in the vast grassland and again enjoy seeing the Tibetan nomadic camp and their livestock on west Tibetan plateau.
- Day 16 Saga-Nyalam-Dzangmu, 2300Mts/290Km. Dzangmu hotel
Today you will drive around 6-7 hrs on a little bumpy road but the scenery is one of the most spectacular one that you can see great Himalayan ranges and one of the most world popular snow mountain called Shisha Bangma (8200Mt) from the top of a pass called Thongla( 5200Mt). Besides a fantastic view of lakePekutso will be appeared on the way. You will cross over Thongla pass at 5120Mts, stop for photos and say good bye to the Himalayan mountain range from the top of the pass. From the pass, you will always drive down in the valley and gorge until you reach Dzangmu via Nyalamcounty.
- Day 17 Dzangmu-Friend Ship Bridge-Ktm. End the trip
Drive down to friendship bridge through the zigzag roads at the distance of 8 Km. Once you get to the friendship bridge border, say good bye to our Tibetan team, Walk across Friendship Bridge , meet by our representative from Nepal , clear immigration procedure and obtain your Nepali visa & transfer to Kathmandu . Driving up and down in the forested mountain with beautiful villages on the slops of the both side mountains.
